19th C. JAPANESE IMARI DECORATED 8.25 DEEP BOWL, MEIJI PERIOD (1868-1913)

Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a beautiful antique Japanese Meiji Period Imari decorated deep bowl, c. The interior design features a center medallion with a rust flower surrounded with gilt decorated cobalt blue leaves. Beyond the center medallion is a border with three flower filled medallions alternating with a blue and white "diaper" design. The deep sides of the bowl are decorated with alternating patterns, designs and panels in coordinating colors and patterns.

The entire interior of the bowl is covered with the multi-colored and different size panels. The exterior of this nice bowl is also colorfully decorated and there are three blue lines above and on the exterior foot ring and one blue line inside the foot ring. The bowl is in excellent Estate condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There are some minor firing abnormalities in the porcelain and enameled designs which is common on pieces from this period and some very minor wear to the gilded decoration but nothing that detracts from the beauty of this gorgeous bowl.

The bowl may reflect other very minor signs of wear commensurate with age. Measures 3 1/4" high and 8 1/4" in diameter.
